I have a 1988 turbo r when the cruise control tries to activate when it does it goes 100kmph and jumps in and out the stop switch connection is all clean would the problem be in the control unit or some other area

Good Afternoon
It is not uncommon for the ECU (UD26641) to be the fault so I would suggest check this, it is under the top roll normally by steering column.
