My question is about Part Number EMIKIT -
If this system is removed from the car then these plugs will be required to fill the ports on each cylinder head that the Emission System air manifold pipes previously screwed into.
Chassis Range Applicability 1965-1980 RR Silver Shadow I, II & Bentley T1, T2
Spirits for North America 01517 to 16930 were also fitted with this (or an equivalent) system.
It uses the same UE34719 sleeves. My car is GCX15748.
Is it actually necessary to "remove the UE34719 sleeves from the cylinder head as they sit in the thread"? The plug seems to fully thread into the head without removing the pipe.
Is this the problem - that the pipe may be free to move?
If they must be removed, is there any trick to getting them out? They did not respond to simple attempts to extract them by scraping upward on the inner surface.
I would rather leave them in if it does no harm. The idea of blocking air injection and EGR off is to keep the car mobile while other work is done.
Thanks in advance for your advice.

Remove the small feed pipe if you can, you may be able to screw a small tap in the pipe to remove them from the head.
If at worst they will not come out they should do no real harm if fall apart through corrosion?
