1996 Silver Spur CDL?Alarm ECU Access

I need to access the CDL/Alarm ECU behind the dash. Can someone please advise how to proceed? It would be nice just to be able to lift the top roll but I suspect that the knee roll, polished wood dash panels need to come off first? Any advice gratefully received.

    Good Afternoon Sir 
    The below is the instructions off one of our mechanics.
    Remove Dash wood to access to screw bolts for top roll. Top roll is in 2 pieces, alarm/cdl ecu is under the 2nd piece nearest the dash
