My 1978 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II vibrates badly under heavy braking. I have not had chance to investigate it as yet but suspect seized piston in one of the front calipers? Has anyone any ideas?

This would normally be down to warped front discs
I will check when i get a chance just seems odd its happened over the winter have used the car now and then but only short trips which made me think it maybe a sieze piston
Many thanks for your reply
My first thought on this would be warped discs, are the brakes staying on at all?
By this i mean are they making a scraping noise or sound as if they are slightly catching when moving slowly.
On this it would really need you to examine them thoroughly as there are just too many problems that it could be?
Many Thanks
Many thanks,
I will check the disc and calipers next week and hopefully find the problem
No problem please keep us informed.
I removed all the pads that were almost seized in the calipers cleaned them and the calipers of the rust that had built up put them back with correct grease on sides and back and all seems to be ok ! I think I'll do this every year to stop it getting this bad again . Thanks for your replies
Good Morning
Thank you for getting back to us on this.
Glad that it was a relatively easy fix in the end.
Many thanks
