It is either the switch on the column, the ECU under the dash or the bellows in the engine bay. Unfortunately it is a process of elimination but the most common cause is the ECU followed by a faulty bellows - you can put the bellows across a battery to see if the solenoids are clicking in and out to give you a clue…..

Thankyou for your advise i will pass this on to my mechanic as im not too sure how to check this myself
